Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sunday Oliseh has stated that Festus Onigbinde is the worst coach to ever handle the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.
Oliseh has always been known for his hot takes, from when he was a player for the national until now that he is a coach.
The 51-year-old played over 60 games for Nigeria and also featured for top European clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.
Oliseh even coached the Super Eagles between 2015 and 2016, a relationship that was ended abruptly due to issues between him and the Nigerian Fotball Federation.
In 2002, Oliseh was excluded from Nigeria's squad for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and he eventually retired that year despite still playing at a higher level at the time.
In a recent interview, Oliseh blamed his absence from that World Cup on the Nigeria Football Federation's shenanigans.
He also noted that the coach who led the team to the Mundial in South Korea and Japan 2002 － Onigbinde － the worst coach in Super Eagles history.
“I was robbed of my entitlements for qualifying Nigeria for the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the NFF appointed Onigbinde, who I feel is the worst coach to handle the Super Eagles,” Oliseh said on the Home Turf podcast.
“Some players were dropped. Agali, Yakubu, Babangida and all those players who played the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers were dropped. And till today, none of them have been paid.”

Coach Festus Onigbinde had two stints with the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The first was 1982 to 1984. Then, the second was in 2002, from January to September.
