The Atalanta forward received a yellow card in the 63rd minute during Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Lesotho in Polokwane after fouling Lesotho’s number 13, Fusi Matlabe.
The booking, his second of the qualifying campaign, means Lookman will serve a one-match suspension and miss the trip to Uyo for the final Group C encounter.
