Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has declared that he is feeling relaxed and enjoying life at Celtic, so the fans should expect more goals from him in the coming weeks, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iheanacho was brilliant for the Hoops on Wednesday night, as he scored their only goal in a 1-1 draw against Serbian giants Crvenda Zvezda.
The Super Eagles star, who surprising replaced Daizen Maeda immediately after the break, spurned a big opportunity in the opening minutes of the half, but he redeemed himself with a cold-hearted finish in the 55th minute.
That goal was Iheanacho's third-straight goal contribution for Celtic in three appearances for the club. And he is surely making a case to be a starter for the Hoops.
Iheanacho is having a dream start at Celtic. The last two years have been tough for him, as he struggled to score goals at Leicester City, Sevilla, and Middlesbrough.
After the game at Crvenda Zvezda, the 29-year-old forward revealed that a key reason for his upturn in performances is because he feels relaxed at Celtic. As such, the fans can expect more from him.
“To be fair, I've been in touch with the gaffer for a while. But it was a good decision with my team to come to Celtic,” Iheanacho said.
“As you can see, I'm enjoying in Celtic. So hopefully, there will be more goals to come and more performances to come.”
