Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has stated that Wilfred Ndidi will boost the quality of the Turkish Super Lig, following his transfer to Besiktas, Soccernet.ng reports.
After weeks of speculations surrounding his future, Ndidi completed a transfer to Turkish giants Besiktas in a €9.5 million deal from Leicester City.
The Black Eagles signed the Super Eagles defensive midfielder to give them a boost in the middle of the park and help them unseat Galatasaray as champions of Turkey.
Meanwhile, former Nigerian striker Emenike believes that aside from Ndidi's ability on the pitch, he will also boost the image of the Super Lig.
“Ndidi's transfer to Turkey will be beneficial to the league because he is both a fantastic player and a humble person. I send my best wishes to all Nigerian footballers in the Super Lig for this season,” Emenike told Mackolik.
Recall that Emenike had a nomadic career, as he played for 11 clubs during his career, including Premier League club West Ham.
He also had different stints at Super Lig giants Fenerbahce and helped them win the league once.
Aside from Wilfred Ndidi, what did Emenike say about Osimhen and Onuachu?
Emmanuel Emenike also had some nice things to say about Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray from Napoli and Paul Onuachu's move from Southampton to Trabzonspor.
He tipped the two Super Eagles strikers to score goals aplenty for their clubs next season.
“Osimhen is a great player, he has a lot of energy. His arrival to a Turkish team will be a great contribution to the league,” Emenike added.
“He is a great player and I wish him the best at Galatasaray. Paul Onuachu is also a great actor. I watched a few of his matches.
“He is a good football player, but I could not follow his matches very closely. However, in the few matches I watched, I saw that he was a good striker, I like him.”
The three Super Eagles stars will look to have a strong campaign with their new Super Lig clubs next season.
