Top La Liga clubs have turned up in the race to sign Super Eagles star Umar Sadiq, even as his time in Real Sociedad draws closer to an end, Soccernet.ng reports.
Valencia have moved decisively in the race to sign Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq, tabling a concrete loan offer to Real Sociedad, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
Valencia proposed offer comes as other interested clubs, including Getafe and Girona, are yet to act. Elche and Samsunspor were also reportedly linked with a move for Sadiq.
The 27-year-old Nigerian forward, who has spent most of his time in San Sebastián battling injuries and inconsistencies, appears to be heading for the exit door.
Though several clubs have made inquiries about his availability, Valencia remain the only side to have submitted a formal proposal to take him on loan for the 2025–26 campaign.

Valencia took Sadiq on loan for the second half of the last season, and the Nigerian repaid the faith by netting five goals in 16 appearances.
The Mestalla outfit wants him back on loan and are reportedly willing to cover Sadiq’s full wages, and is also open to including a purchase option as part of the deal.
Real Sociedad, who have been hoping to recover a portion of the funds invested in the striker, are open to the idea and are currently evaluating the details of Valencia's offer.
Negotiations between both clubs are progressing steadily, with discussions focused on potential performance-related bonuses and clauses involving appearances and goal contributions.

Sadiq’s preseason has been hampered by illness, with reports confirming he has struggled with a viral infection that limited his participation in full training sessions.
The striker did not travel with the main squad to Japan and continues to train individually back in Spain. His lack of match fitness ruled him out of Real Sociedad’s ongoing training camp in England.
