Napoli coach Antonio Conte has taken a liking for Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare as his club is looking to sign a new striker this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Napoli are in the market for a new striker this summer, following a muscle injury to their star man Romelu Lukaku.
They are a bit lightweight in the striker's position, as the only senior marksman they have is Lorenzo Lucca, who just joined from Lecce.
Super Eagles star Arokodare has emerged as a potential target for the defending Serie A champions.
They also have Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson in their sights, but that is the least option on their list, as Chelsea have slapped a hefty price-tag on him.
But while Napoli see Hojlund as their priority, the coach Conte, is a big fan of Arokodare. This does not come as a surprise, as the Italian loves to work with big strikers wherever he goes.
According to Yahoo Sports, Conte favours Arokodare. So, if Manchester United play hardball with Hojlund, Napoli will automatically turn to their sights to the Super Eagles striker.
How can Tolu Arokodare help Napoli?
As stated earlier, coach Antonio Conte loves to work with big strikers, and Tolu Arokodare could be his man.
The Nigerian striker is strong and has a towering figure at 6'6 feet. And he uses his body very well.
He can shoot, and can hold up play for other players to run behind. Arokodare is also great in the air, so that gives Napoli an extra option in aerial situations.
The 24-year-old is also an affordable option for Napoli, as Genk will be willing to sell for around €25 million this summer.
