Health check: What’s the latest on Moses Simon’s imminent move to Paris FC?

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has successfully completed his medical at Paris FC, edging closer to a summer move from FC Nantes, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian international underwent medical tests on Tuesday as Paris FC and Nantes move towards finalising a deal worth around €7 million.

Simon, 29, has been a key figure for Nantes since joining from Levante — initially on loan in 2019 before making the move permanent a year later.

The versatile forward has amassed 201 appearances for the Canaries, scoring 33 goals and providing 42 assists — a club record for combined contributions in all competitions.

Last season, Simon contributed eight goals and 10 assists in 32 Ligue 1 matches, playing a vital role in helping Nantes avoid relegation. However, with just a year left on his current deal and no agreement reached over a contract extension, both club and player appear ready to part ways.

Despite interest from other Ligue 1 sides and clubs across Europe and the United States, Simon is reportedly drawn to Paris FC’s ambitious project. The newly promoted outfit, backed by significant investment from the Arnault family and Red Bull, have made Simon a top priority as they look to establish themselves in the top flight.

Simon has already agreed personal terms, and the move will also allow him to remain in France, where he is in the process of securing dual citizenship. Additionally, the financial package on offer reportedly exceeds his €120,000-per-month wages at Nantes.

An official announcement is expected soon, marking the end of a memorable chapter in Nantes and the beginning of a fresh one in the French capital.
