Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has expressed admiration for Brentford youngster Benjamin Frederick following their appearance together in Nigeria’s colours during the recent Unity Cup campaign, Soccernet.ng reports.

Frederick, who only joined up with the squad shortly before the tournament, impressed on his debut, earning praise for his composure and maturity at the heart of defence.

Reflecting on the moment, Simon described sharing the pitch with the teenage centre-back as a significant moment—both personally and professionally.

“Playing alongside Frederick in the Nigeria jersey was a proud moment for me and our club,” Simon said to RG.

The Nantes star, one of Nigeria’s most experienced players in the squad, was quick to highlight Frederick’s quality and work ethic, suggesting that Brentford have secured a gem in the 18-year-old.

“He is a very good talent, and the future looks very bright for him. Brentford are lucky to have him because he is an all-around and hardworking young boy.”

Simon, who played a vital role in Nigeria’s title win at the Unity Cup, pledged to keep close tabs on Frederick’s progress.

“I will be following his development with unwavering support as a proud mentor,” he added.

Frederick will be hoping to build on his impressive debut as the Super Eagles continue preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers under new head coach Eric Chelle.

Moses Simon’s Premier League Buzz

Interest in Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is heating up, with clubs from the Premier League reportedly circling already ahead of the summer window.

According to Soccernet.ng, Everton are leading the chase, having sent scouts to Nantes to monitor the 29-year-old winger in recent weeks.

Sources say Everton value Simon at around €12–15 million, with scouts impressed by his seven goals and nine assists from just 27 appearances last season.

Despite the buzz, Simon remains grounded. He confirmed on SportsBoom, as cited by Liverpool Echo, that while he appreciates the interest, he’s in no rush:

“If the right offer comes … then why not? But I’m not desperate. I have peace here in France.”

what could be responsible for a sports man or woman to switch allegiance from country of birth to another is purely because of bad administration. Those who are in-charge should please note and do the needful. There are many others in other areas. We took on job not to line our pockets but to serve and we will be on top of the WORLD.
