Victor Osimhen‘s future has taken a fresh twist as Saudi Arabia's newly promoted side NEOM have joined the growing list of clubs vying for the Nigerian star’s signature in what’s shaping up to be one of the most dramatic transfer sagas of the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
NEOM only this April earned promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the first time after clinching the First Division League title in April.
But the Pro League newcomers are reportedly preparing an audacious bid to lure Osimhen away from Galatasaray and Napoli — potentially eclipsing even the eye-watering offer already tabled by Al Hilal.
Al Hilal are understood to have proposed a staggering €40 million annual salary, but a Hurriyet report suggest that NEOM are willing to exceed that amount to land Osimhen as the flagship star of their top-flight debut season.
The ambitious Tabuk-based club, named after the Saudi megacity project, are looking to make a headline-grabbing entry into the Pro League, and see Osimhen as a transformative figure both on and off the pitch.
Osimhen, 26, spent last season on loan at Galatasaray where he dazzled with 34 goal contributions in 32 matches — firing the Istanbul giants to the Turkish Super Lig title and becoming a fan favourite in the process.

Victor Osimhen transfer latest: Newly promoted Saudi club Neom join race for Super Eagles star
Galatasaray had hoped to make the move permanent and are understood to have offered €15 million in salary and gathered €66 million to activate his €75 million release clause from Napoli.
But Galatasaray’s sporting director Abdullah Kavukcu has hinted the club may be priced out of the race, admitting in a recent interview: “If there is no big financial difference, he will stay.” That “if” now appears critical, with Saudi clubs capable of tripling the Turkish side’s package.
Premier League giants Chelsea are also monitoring Osimhen’s situation as the Londoners search for a new No.9 after securing Champions League qualification.
NEOM’s sudden interest not only intensifies the battle for Osimhen but also signals the club’s intent to be a serious player in the Pro League.
With experienced African stars like Ahmed Hegazi, Saïd Benrahma and Mbaye Diagne already on their books, NEOM could be setting the stage for a major statement by snapping up one of African football’s biggest names.
Still, a move to Saudi Arabia is likely not to be on the cards for Osimhen, who has never hidden his desire to test his skill set against the best the Premier League has to offer.
