Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has encouraged Moses Simon to pursue a move to the Premier League as speculation over the winger’s future at FC Nantes intensifies, Soccernet.ng reports.
Simon has been linked with a summer exit from the Ligue 1 side, with England suggested to be the next destination for the Super Eagles winger.
Speaking to Africa Foot, the former Olympique Marseille player believes now is the perfect time for the 29-year-old to make the leap to English football.

“I don’t know the truth about the reports that he wants to leave Nantes, but if he were to leave, it would have to be for the Premier League, which is where he plays next,” Yobo said. “It’s long overdue given his ability, versatility, and experience. I mean, why not? He is, and has always been, good enough for English football.”

Yobo, who spent nearly a decade playing for Everton, believes a move to Merseyside would be ideal for Simon—especially with rumours of interest from the Toffees circulating in recent weeks.
“If the reports of Everton’s interest are true, and above all, serious, then it would be even better,” Yobo added. “I played on Merseyside for almost a decade, and I know the football culture there; it’s enormous. This would be an ideal transfer for him, as his impact and speed are well-suited to Everton.”
The Super Eagles star is currently under contract with Nantes until 2026, but this summer could present a pivotal moment in his career.
