Nigerian music star, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has set his sights on performing at the global football stage, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 34-year-old has recently taken social media by storm following his 2015 song “Shake Body” becoming a new dance trend after Lamine Yamal danced to it on his social media page.

Taking to his social media page, the Kaduna-based singer expressed a strong desire to perform at the Ballon d'Or or a Confederation of African Football (CAF) event.

“Performing at Ballon d'Or or CAF or any major football event next up. Fingers crossed. It is done in Jesus' name,” he wrote.

Yamal was spotted dancing to Skales' 2015 hit song Shake Body alongside his Spanish teammates, Nico Williams and Samu Omorodion, during the international break.

The viral moment brought the song back into the limelight, racking up over 13.5 million views on TikTok and pushing Shake Body past one million monthly streams on Spotify.

The singer, known for hits like “Shake Body” and “Booty Language”, appears to be aligning his music more by tapping into the passion of football fans worldwide.
