Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons are through to the women’s final of the 2025 President Federation Cup, following their hard-fought victories in Saturday’s semi-finals, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nine-time champions Rivers Angels edged past a spirited Ibom Angels side 1-0 in a tense contest held in Aba.
Substitute Aminat Folorunsho grabbed the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute after the teen forward saw her low shot beat goalkeeper Godstime Dickson.

The Port Harcourt-based side, who are also the defending champions, will now face two-time winners Nasarawa Amazons, who defeated Edo Queens 2-0 in Ayingba to secure their spot in the final.
The Amazons, based in Lafia, last lifted the coveted trophy in 2019, having previously been crowned champions in 2005.

Meanwhile, the men’s final will see surprise package Abakaliki FC of Ebonyi State take on top-tier side Kwara United.
Lower league club Abakaliki FC, who earned their place in the final with a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Ikorodu City after a goalless draw, will be looking to make history.
NPFL campaigners Kwara United, on the other hand, secured a narrow 1-0 win over Rangers International of Enugu to book their ticket to the final.
The President Federation Cup finals, set to take place later this month, promise drama, intensity, and the crowning of new heroes in Nigerian football.
