Super Eagles forward Moses Simon could leave Nantes at the end of the season, and Trabzonspor has emerged as a potential destination in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Simon has sealed his status as a club hero over the past five years at Nantes. The 29-year-old attacker joined the club from Levante in 2020, and he has been the main man for them since then. Simon has contributed 36 goals and 41 assists in 199 appearances for the Yellow Canaries.

This season has been the Nigerian attacker's best in his entire career, as he has contributed seven goals and nine assists in 199 appearances.

Due to his performances for Nantes, Simon was linked to multiple Premier League clubs and top English clubs, but it did not work out.

However, it seems like the former KAA Gent man is approaching the end of his stay in France. According to BUT! Nantes are prepared to part ways with Simon this summer as he has one year left on his contract and they want to make a profit from selling him.

Trabzonspor has emerged as a potential destination. The 2022 Turkish Super Lig champions are looking to bolster their squad to be able to challenge for the title next season as they have been overrun by their Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

Nantes would accept €10 million to let Simon leave, and that is an affordable fee for Trabzonspor.

Should Moses Simon move to Trabzonspor?

Moses Simon turns 30 by July. And typically, most players on the other side of 30 like to gather as much wealth as possible as retirement is no longer far away.

As such, Simon might prioritize a transfer to Saudi Arabia or a club that can pay him more. Moreover, as of the time of this report, Marseille and Everton are keeping tabs on Simon and would be able to pay him more than Trabzonspor.

Nonetheless, with the summer transfer window fast approaching, Simon's next destination should be confirmed.
