Racing Genk's Sporting Director, Dimitri De Condé, has confirmed that Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Toluwalase Arokodare, will make his big move away from the club this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 24-year-old was the star man as Genk narrowly missed out on lifting the Jupiler Pro League. The lanky striker scored 23 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions, helping his side to a third-place finish.
Under Thorsten Fink, Tolu Arokodare became a nightmare for defenders in the Belgian top flight, scoring 21 goals to claim the league's Top Scorer award for the 2024-2025 season, following in the footsteps of legendary ex-Genk strikers such as Branko Strupar, Wesley Sonck, and Paul Onuachu.

“I estimate the chance of a possible departure of our top scorer at 99%. There is no concrete offer on the table yet, but there is a huge demand from brokers who want to act as an intermediary.
“From experience, I say he’s leaving. Arokodare is very well in the market and is also ready to take the next step.
“With Oh Hyeon-gyu [Arokodare's backup], there is a lot of confidence. With him, we already have his successor in the house. We also have Robin Mirisola of Jong Genk as the third striker. He is only 18 and has a very nice profile. He's done a lot of training and has a positive impression on Coach Fink”, the former Standard Liege midfielder concluded.
