The Turkish Super Lig side are desperate to hold on to the Nigerian, but his €75m release clause stands in the way. Additionally, Osimhen has made it very clear he wants to play in the English Premier League.
Concerning the reports about an agreement with Manchester United, there has been no report of such a deal from the player’s camp. The striker has repeatedly mentioned that his focus is on winning the league with Galatasaray.
“We need Osimhen, we need experience, we need someone who knows how to score. Someone who can show these young strikers at Manchester United how to do it.
“If I’m Manchester United, I’m making it happen. I’m looking for someone who knows their way around the football pitch at the elite level and knows how to score at the elite level consistently. Osimhen has done that.
“I want here and now. Yes, Osimhen hasn’t played in the English Premier League, but I don’t care. I think he scores wherever he goes,” the former English International said as previously reported by Soccernet.ng.
Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi, admitted he’s done his part to warm Osimhen’s heart up to signing for the Blues, but the club has yet to put in a bid for the 2023 Scudetto winner.
