Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen got a goal and an assist for Galatasaray in their 5-1 bashing of Konyaspor in the semifinal of the Turkish Cup at the Konya Buyuksehir Belediye Stadyumu, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen returned to action for Galatasaray when they visited Konyaspor for a ticket to the Turkish Cup final. Osimhen has been in fine form for the Lions this season and he was expected to continue with that form against Konyaspor.
The 26-year-old went about his job pretty early, as he scored the opener in the 26th minute, jumping highest to meet a cross from Dries Mertens and heading it in to make it 1-0.

Osimhen had another big chance in the 32nd minute, but he failed to convert his chance as the Konyaspor goalkeeper Deniz Ertas made a fine save to keep his side in the game. However, he could not prevent Lucas Torreira from scoring in the 43rd minute as the Uruguayan made it 2-0.

Galatasaray took the lead into the break, and they still dominated the earlier exchanges in the second half. Just two minutes after the restart, Osimhen set up the Lions’ third, as he played a fine pass to Roland Sallai, who whipped a wicked shot which was deflected into the net.
Konyaspor thought they had gotten a lifeline after Pedrinho pulled one back for them in the 53rd minute. But Galatasaray struck again twice courtesy of Sallai and Yusuf Demir to seal the 5-1 win.
Osimhen had a brilliant game, registering three dribbles, six goal attempts, two key passes, and won seven of his 11 duels.
Who will Victor Osimhen and Galatasaray play in the Turkish Cup final?
Galatasaray will now wait until Thursday when Trabzonspor play against Goztepe in the other semifinal to know who they will face in the final of the Turkish.

The Lions will hope to play against Goztepe as they would be an easier opposition. Nonetheless, whichever opposition they face, Victor Osimhen will be there to deliver the goods for Galatasaray.
They have not won the Turkish Cup since 2018, and they will hope to win it this season.
