2024 UEFA Champions League finalists, Borussia Dortmund, are considering a swap deal with Chelsea for Nigeria-eligible English midfielder, Carney Chukwuemeka, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 21-year-old joined Die Schwarzgelben in January due to a lack of playing time under Enzo Maresca at the Stamford Bridge.
Chukwuemeka has started just one Bundesliga game for Dortmund since joining in January, but the few minutes he’s been on the pitch have somehow convinced the club’s hierarchy to keep him at the Signal Iduna Park permanently.

Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho have been Chelsea’s options on the flank this season, but none has had a standout season.
As a result, Enzo Maresca’s side wants to bring the 20-year-old Gittens to Stamford Bridge, but it is believed Dortmund are demanding about £80m for the talented Englishman.
However, Chelsea would have to pay a fee in addition to finalising the deal. Chelsea have to sell Carney Chukwuemeka and other players due to FFP in order not to be penalised by UEFA.
Dortmund, who originally sold Sancho to United, are said to be interested in bringing him back. With Chukwuemeka and Sancho involved, Chelsea might end up spending just about £25m to secure Gittens’ services from Niko Kocac’s side.
