Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen spoke highly of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata following Galatasaray's 2-1 win over Alanyaspor on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Morata has had a nomadic career, as he has played for most of the biggest clubs in Europe. The 32-year-old striker played for clubs like Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and AC Milan before joining Galatasaray in the January transfer window.

Although he scored many goals across all these clubs, he was considered a flop at some of them, especially at Chelsea.

He even had to leave AC Milan as he was not producing goals consistently. Nonetheless, the Super Lig is a place where he could flourish.

On Sunday, Morata and Nigerian striker Osimhen played over 80 minutes together for the first time since the Spanaird moved to Turkey. And although Morata did not score in their 2-1 win at Alanyaspor, Osimhen was highly appreciative of his effort, and he hopes they can have a good run until the end of the campaign.

“It was incredible to play with him (Morata). He is a very experienced player. We all know him,” Osimhen said via Galatasaray's website.

“He is a team player who comes close to receiving the ball in the attack, helps the team, he is an advanced player. I am very happy to play with him. We hope for a season where both of us score more goals and our momentum increases.”

Osimhen will hope to forge a partnership with Morata that will produce goals run until the end of the season as Galatasaray push for a third consecutive title triumph.

Alvaro Morata is Victor Osimhen's likely replacement at Galatasaray. It appears that coach Orkan Buruk did not trust Michy Batshuayi and that prompted his transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt in January.

Osimhen will likely leave Galatasaray for a big club in one of the top five leagues in January, creating a vacuum. And Morata will likely be the play to fill it.

Morata is currently engaged to Galatasaray on loan, but the club should make it permanent at the end of the season.
