Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has warned the rest of his Nigerian teammates against complacency ahead of their clash against Zimbabwe tomorrow, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 31-year-old played all ninety minutes in Kigali as Nigeria sealed a 2-0 win over the Wasps of Rwanda, courtesy of a double from Victor Osimhen.
The win put the Super Eagles back on track for qualification to the FIFA World Cup, but Ekong has warned his teammates to avoid resting on their laurels, telling them there’s still work to be done.

What Ekong said ahead of Zimbabwe clash
“We are looking forward to a win. The three points are important to us. At this stage, we cannot afford to drop any more points.
“Our aim is to take it one match at a time, collect three points here and there and hope fervently that these will be enough to get us the ticket,” the one-time Greek Super League winner said in quotes revealed by the NFF.
