German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim are in advanced talks with Ligue 1 club Lyon for the transfer of Nigerian striker Gift Orban, Soccernet.ng reports.
Orban has been linked to many clubs in Europe following his struggles at Lyon. The 22-year-old striker joined Lyon in January this year, when Les Gones were fighting to stay afloat in the Ligue 1.
Unfortunately, for him, he has failed to cut it. When he joined last season, he was used sparingly, registering just 13 appearances, most of which were from the bench.
This season, Orban has registered only five appearances with two goals to his name. Most times, he has not even made the matchday squad.
TSG Hoffenheim are seeking for a quick striker in winter as reported ✔️

However, it seems the Nigerian striker is set to get a breakthrough. This is as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Hoffenheim are in advanced talks with Lyon to sign Orban.
Hoffenheim are currently struggling in the Bundesliga. They have picked three wins, five losses and six losses in the league this season. They already fired former coach Pellegrino Matarazzo at the start of November following a poor run of results.
However, even with the appointment of Christian Ilzer as coach, their fortunes have not improved. They have not won any of their last six games in all competitions.
Hoffenheim have struggled in front of goal, with 19 goals this season. Hence, they are looking to add some quality to their attack. They believe that Orban could aid them up front and help increase their goals output.
