Former Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has praised Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface for the technique he used in his key pass for Bayer Leverkusen's second goal against Feyenoord in the Champions League on Thursday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Boniface made his UEFA Champions League debut for Bayer Leverkusen when they played Feyenoord. The 23-year-old Nigerian striker had a good game but failed to score.
However, he caught the eyes of many after a cheeky pass in the run-up to his side's second goal. Boniface shaped up in front of the box as if to shoot with his right foot, but he used his left to kick the ball instead.

The last player to produce that kind of pass in mainstream Europe was Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
After the game, former Bayern Munich star Hargreaves was quite excited about Boniface's trick, and he showered praise on the Nigerian striker.
“Great work, proper, if he did that in training people would be going mad, but to do that in a game, that's brilliant,” Hargreaves said on TNT Football.
“Some people think that he didn't really mean that, but it's honestly just a touch of class. Really really cool.
Although a striker, Boniface is one of the deadliest dribbling players in Europe. If he continues his impressive performances, he could soon be on his way to a big club.
