Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has been strongly linked with a transfer to former Dutch Eredivisie champions Feyenoord, Soccernet.ng reports.
The transfer window in most top European leagues have closed, but there are still a few that are open. One of such is the Dutch Eredivisie which closes by 11:59 PM tonight.
As usual, this will be the period when teams will be moving in a haste to get in signings and clog all the holes in their team. Feyenoord are in need of attacking options, following the loss of Ueda Ayase to Lille yesterday.

He was Eredivisie's topscorer with 25 goals last season and has already scored three goals in four league games this season, hence why Feyenoord are weighing up a transfer for Boniface, per Voetbal4U.
The Super Eagles star just returned to Bayer Leverkusen this summer after a terrible 2025/26 campaign that was blighted by a knee injury. Unfortunately for him, now that he is back at Leverkusen, things don't look bright for him.

New coach Carles Martinez does not see him as a key player, as he appears to be behind Patrik Schick and Christian Kofane in the pecking order.
He has previously been linked with Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga 2. But he can no longer move there since the window is closed. Now, with just four hours until the Dutch window closes, Boniface is an option that Feyenoord are exploring.
Can Victor Boniface Help Feyenoord?
Victor Boniface is a top talent. But the issue with him has been the injuries. At Werder Bremen, the coaches admitted that his quality was clearly higher than his teammates. But injuries reduced his minutes badly. He played just 11 minutes, all of which, were off the bench. The 25-year-old also played just 326 minutes throughout the campaign.

But that is not Boniface at his best. At the peak of his powers in the 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign, he registered 14 goals and nine assists in 23 games. At some point, he was even at loggerheads with Harry Kane for the best striker in the German top-flight.
If he can put his injuries behind him, he could be one of the best strikers in the world. The Dutch top-flight is somewhere he would shine due to his quality compared with the level of the league.

For sure, Bayer Leverkusen would be willing to deal since Boniface is not really part of Martinez's plans for the season. It just depends on whether the it is a loan or permanent transfer. The Super Eagles star is valued currently valued at €5 million on Transfermarkt.
