Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers could leave Rangers soon, as Greek champions PAOK have opened negotiations with the former Scottish champions over a transfer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dessers had a decent first season at Rangers, recording 16 goals and four assists in 35 Scottish Premiership appearances. He got some flacks for his occasional profligacy, but his numbers were still impressive for a striker in his first season.
However, news broke earlier this week that the 29-year-old striker had tendered a transfer request at Rangers, as Greek champions PAOK were interested in signing him.
In a new development on according to Daily Mail, per Nova Sports, PAOK have already sent a bid to Rangers, but the Gers are yet to accept it.
Dessers is currently valued at €4 million on Transfermarkt. As such, Rangers could accept €5 million to sanction the transfer.
If the transfer goes through, Dessers will be the second Super Eagles player currently in the books of the Greek champions, as captain William Troost-Ekong joined them last season. Also, PAOK will be the tenth different club that Dessers will play for.
Despite winning the Greek Super League last season, PAOK will still have to play the qualifiers before getting into the Champions League next season.
