The Super Eagles star scored for les Aiglons, but his effort was insufficient, as they still lost
Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi scored for Nice, but it was not enough, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Toulouse, Soccernet.ng reports.
Moffi led the line for Nice when they travelled to the Stadium Municipal to take on Toulouse in their 24th game of the season. The Eagles had a great start to the season, but they have been in poor form recently, losing three of their last four games.
However, it looked like they would return to winning ways after they got an early lead. Nigerian striker Moffi showed great awareness to get on the end of a rebound and fired home to make it 1-0 for Nice.
After their goal, the game balanced out, and Toulouse started pressing for the equalizer. However, Nice held on strong. Moffi had a good chance to score in the 39th minute, but his shot just dragged wide.
The second half was much better for Toulouse as they pushed harder for the equalizer. Moffi, who was quite silent in the second half, was taken off for Gaetan Laborde in the 64th minute.
Immediately after Moffivwas taken off, Thijs Dallinga got the equalizer in the 65th minute, and Yann Gboho scored four minutes later to make it 2-1 for Toulouse.
The game eventually ended 2-1 in favour of Toulouse, meaning that Nice lost their sixth game of the season. Meanwhile, Moffi has now scored seven league goals in this Ligue 1 campaign.
