Umar scored last time out in the Laliga, and he replicated that same brilliance against Osasuna
Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar scored for Real Sociedad to help them clinch a 1-1 draw against Osasuna at the Estadio El Sadar, Soccernet.ng reports.
Last week, Umar scored his first goal for Real Sociedad since returning from a long injury spell. The goal was worth the wait, as it was a screamer from over 30 yards.
This weekend, coach Imanol Alguacil still put his trust in the Nigeria attacker when they travelled to Osasuna. Umar was supported by Take Kubo in attack.
Osasuna drew first blood after just two minutes, as Moi Gomez scored the opener. Despite going down, Real Sociedad did not up the ante. However, Umar was on hand to spare Real Sociedad’s blushes.
He received a pass from Igor Zubeldia, slalomed past two of his markers and from the edge of the D, he struck a wicked shot into the right side of the goal posts to make it 1-1 for Real Sociedad.

That was all Umar could muster as he was taken off in the 75th minute. Umar missed two big chances, but he had three shots on goal and was well involved with play as he had 35 touches.
The game eventually ended 1-1, and that puts Real Sociedad on 6th, pending when Real Betis play on Sunday.
