Super Eagles striker Akor Adams returned to Sevilla on a high note, scoring a brace in their hard-fought 2-2 comeback draw against Elche on Monday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke both featured for Nigeria in their AFCON 2025 third-place match on Saturday, helping the team secure the bronze medal.
Just hours later, the duo was spotted back at Sevilla. This quick turnaround was not entirely surprising, given that Morocco is only a two-hour flight from Spain.

Surprisingly, both Nigerians were included in Sevilla's matchday squad for their Laliga clash against Elche at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero.
While neither player started the match, coach Matías Almeyda introduced Adams at the break with his side trailing by a goal.
However, the situation went from bad to worse ten minutes after the restart, as Germán Valera doubled Elche's lead. In the 63rd minute, Ejuke was also introduced to help salvage the game.

The comeback began in the 75th minute when Adams pulled one back for Los Nervionenses. He pounced on a rebound following a low shot from Oso, simply poking the ball into the net to make it 2-1.
Then, in stoppage time, Adams drew Sevilla level. The referee spotted a handball in the box, and the Super Eagles striker made no mistake from the penalty spot, converting with aplomb to rescue a point.

It was a solid showing for Adams, who will be delighted to have saved his side from a difficult situation.
Meanwhile, although Ejuke did not get on the scoresheet, his impact was clear as he constantly troubled and probed the Elche defense.

Akor Adams: A Player Brimming With Confidence
Akor Adams enjoyed an impressive AFCON campaign with the Super Eagles, where he formed a lethal partnership with Victor Osimhen, contributing two goals and two assists.

Working alongside Osimhen has clearly rubbed off on Adams, who now looks ready to take on the world.
The Benue-born striker turns 26 on the 29th of this month and will be eager to keep his scoring streak alive.
His brace against Elche was his first in a competitive game for Sevilla, and he will be looking to continue his fine form in the coming weeks.
