The friction between the Scudetto winners and their most valuable player is not going away any time soon
Former AC Milan defender Daniele Daino has faulted Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, for his tweet threatening Napoli over the club’s social media misstep, Soccernet.ng reports.
Napoli caused an uproar on Tuesday when the club’s official Tiktok account posted a video poking fun at Osimhen following the striker’s penalty miss at Bologna.
Osimhen had joined other Napoli players to demand the penalty after a Bologna defender handled the ball in the penalty area with the Nigerian forward set to score.
The referee awarded the spot kick, but Osimhen fired wide from 12 yards. Napoli settled for a goalless draw at the end of the game as the Serie A champions threw away two precious points.
A confrontation late in the game between Osimhen and head coach Rudi Garcia stole the headlines, but it is set to be relegated by Napoli’s Tiktok blunder.

The club has since deleted the offensive video, but that action did not stop Osimhen’s representative, Calenda, from showing his displeasure.
Calenda, in a tweet posted on Tuesday night, hinted that Osimhen’s entourage is considering taking legal action against Napoli for the derogatory nature of the video.
But former AC Milan and Napoli defender Daino believes Calenda is looking to shatter the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli.
Instead of making a social media post, the top-level agent would have contacted the club in the first place, opines Daino.
“An agent at certain levels contacts the club; he certainly doesn’t make a tweet of that kind. It all seems to me to be done to create a disruption,” Daino told Sportitalia, as per Tutto Napoli.
Aside from his agent’s threatening tweet, Osimhen has also shown his infuriation at Napoli over that Tiktok video.
The 24-year-old has deleted almost all the Napoli photos and videos on his Instagram account.
The former Lille forward’s page is now flooded with mostly personal images and those from his time with the Super Eagles.
