Victor Boniface is only the third player to have made six goals contributions in his first three Bundesliga games, the other two are Paco Alcacer and Erling Haaland
Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has set a record for most touches in an opposition box in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season with his performance against Bayern Munich on Friday night, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 22-year-old failed to register a goal or assist for the first time this season as Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Bayern Munich had to settle for a 2-2 draw in their top-of-the-table clash on Friday night.
Bayern took the lead twice through goals from Harry Kane and Leon Goretzka but were pegged back on the two occasions by Alejandro Grimaldo and Exequiel Palacios goals.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Boniface caused issues for Bayern’s defence on different occasions, using his pace and power to connect well with his teammates.
The Nigerian forward was dominant against the Bavarians, making 17 touches in their box more than any other player on the pitch.
According to football statistics website, Whoscored, Boniface’s 17 touches are the most of any player in the top 5 leagues in Europe in the 2023/2024 season.

This stat is just another proof of how brilliant the former Royale Union Saint-Gilliose striker has been since he arrived at the Bay Arena this summer.
In four Bundesliga games, he has registered 4 goals and 2 assists and it’s a good start for a player in a new league.
