Kelechi Iheanacho led the line superbly for Leicester City once again as they defeated Norwich City in the EFL Championships.

Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho continued his fine vein of form as Leicester City swept Norwich aside, Soccernet.ng reports.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first Championship goal of the season at Carrow Road, as the Foxes defeated Norwich City by a scoreline of 2-0.

The Super Eagles’ versatile forward was yet to get on the scoresheet in the League for Leicester City in six games but found his touch just before half-time tonight.

A foul on Stephy Mavididi by a Norwich City defender made referee Graham Scott point to the penalty spot to award a penalty, and the twenty-six-year-old calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net.

He played the penalty centrally, while the goalkeeper, Angus Gunn got fingertips to the ball, but wasn’t enough to stop the ball from going into the back of the net.

Iheanacho was subbed off in the 68th minute for English and club veteran, Jamie Vardy, who played a crucial part in Leicester’s second of the night.

A counter-attack, led by the thirty-six-year-old Premier League winner, saw him pass the ball to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Hall ran through the edge of the box to square the ball back to Kasey McAteer, who tapped home into an empty goal.

Leicester’s win tonight sees them retain the second position in the league with eighteen points from seven games, just one behind league leaders, Preston North End.
