AC Milan recognize his potential, and they want to send him out to garner experience
Former Serie A champions AC Milan want to send Nigeria youth international Victor Eletu out on loan amidst links with clubs in France, Portugal, and Netherlands, Soccernet reports.
The 18-year-old is highly regarded as he has shown a lot of potential. At international level, he has also featured prominently for the Flying Eagles as he was part of the last Under-20 World Cup squad tutored by Ladan Bosso.
Eletu has been a regular for the AC Milan junior team. He has even captained the team in the Primavera 1 on different occasions, but he is yet to break into the main team despite their lack of a top defensive midfielder.
The Rossoneri lost their best defensive midfielder Sandro Tonali to Newcastle this summer, and they are only left with Ismael Bennacer as the only natural defensive midfielder. Still, they are open to letting Eletu leave this summer.
According to Milan Posts, Eletu has attracted interest from clubs in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Portugal Liga, and the Dutch Eredivisie. Eletu is valued at €400,000, and AC Milan are willing to pay part of his wages.
The youngster would look to get valuable minutes at top-level football. If he proves himself, he could get a place in Stefano Pioli’s team.
