The former Nigeria Under-17 international has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons at the club, and he has earned a move to Europe
Former Nigeria Under-17 midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar has left South Africa Premier League club Stellenbosch for Israel side Maccabi Petah Tikva, Soccernet reports.
Jabaar joined Stellenbosch two years ago, and he hit the ground running. The former Golden Eaglets midfielder was voted the best young player in the league last season.
The explosive 20-year-old central midfielder is the youngest player to reach 50 appearances for Stellles. He made 70 appearances in total for the club.
However, Jabaar has now left the club. Stellenbosch revealed this via their website. They wished him well as he departs for his first taste of European football.
“Stellenbosch Football Club has parted ways with Ibraheem Jabaar to pave the way for him to join Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva,” the club wrote on Twitter.
“The club would like to thank our 2022 SFC Young Player of the Year for his service and wish him well on his journey abroad.”
Maccabi Petah Tikva just got promoted to the Israeli Ligat ha’Al after finishing second in the Leimut League. Jabaar would look to help his new team stay afloat in the Israeli top-flight.
