Ndidi has been linked with a move to the Scottish champions, but they may not sign him this summer
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is not on the priority list of Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, Soccernet.ng reports.
Ndidi and his Leicester City side suffered relegation from the Premier League last season. and unfortunately for the club, it has happened at a bad time for them when some of their best legs are in the final years of their contract.
Ndidi has just one year left on his deal, and there is a high possibility that he could leave the club to play top-level football.
The Nigerian defensive midfielder was linked to Scottish kings Celtic recently, but Football Scotland now reports that the deal is unlikely to go down because the Hoops do not have him on their priority list.
However, it is not a matter of quality. It would be more about the price tag. Celtic would have to pay €25million, and that would be too much for Celtic who have never spent more than €9million on a player.
The club would have to look at cheaper options if they need a defensive midfielder.
