Despite love for United, Liverpool, and Man City Gift Orban reveals why he might not leave Gent soon

Gift Orban who has notched 19 goals in all 19 outings for his club has recently declared his admiration for Manchester United

Nigerian attacker, Gift Orban, has explained why he might not make a possible move from KAA Gent in the upcoming transfer window, Soccernet.ng understands.

The Nigerian star had previously ruled out moving to Arsenal, naming Manchester United, Liverpool FC, and Manchester City as his top three English Premier League teams to join.

He has reportedly shared why he may not leave Ghent even if he would want to join the Premier League when prestigious European teams begin pounding on Ivan De Witte's door for his signature.

Since joining the Ghent-based club from Stabaek Fotbal in late January, the Nigerian star has performed well for the Belgian team, netting 19 goals in all 19 games for Hein Vanhaezebrouck's squad.

However, this has drawn the attention of certain teams, like Leeds and Barcelona, who are keeping an eye on him and would want to add his skills to their roster.

Despite the interest, the Nigerian star is tied to the club till June 2027, and will take a good amount of money to lure him away from the Ghelamco Arena.

However, while discussing his transfer, he conceded that there has been rumour about his move away from Belgium, but he said that he was unmoved by them.

“I hear the rumors too, people say I'm going to leave. But I don't think about a transfer. Not zero percent, but less than zero percent,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws, as quoted by voetbalkrant.

Orban has made a few friends in the Gent team in less than five months, and he is now adjusting nicely to life in the country.

Speaking on his relationship with his teammate, and the backroom staff, he said, “It's going well with the coach, the teammates, the captains, Vadis and Kums. Everyone loves me (short silence), and I must not forget ‘Mister Peter' (assistant Peter Balette, ed.). He is always there for me, even at 1 a.m. when I call him. He is like a father to me. That moves me.”

Despite his club's unwillingness to sell him during the forthcoming transfer window, the Nigerian star would still provide the team with a tough transfer window.
