The Olympic Eagles invitee has 12 goals overall for Vanhaezebrouck’s team
KAA Gent boss, Hein Vanhaezebrouck, has voiced his irritation at the current media attention given to Nigerian striker Gift Orban.
The 59-year-old disclosed that the squad consists of a variety of players and that the Nigerian superstar is merely one of them.
It’s safe to assume that Orban’s brilliance for the Buffallo’s since joining Stabaek Football has been enough to get the attention of the media and football fans.
The Nigerian scored four goals in a 6-2 win against Zulte Waregem in the Jupiler Pro League. Three days later, in the Europa Conference League, he grabbed a five-minute hat trick.
However, as a result, he has received praise for his skill from football fans, analysts, and a number of other members of the football community.
Nevertheless, the former Anderlecht manager has frowned at this, admitting that he is an outstanding player but claiming that the Ghent-based team’s other players deserve as much recognition.
“Everyone is always talking about Gift. He is absolutely good. But if he doesn’t score three goals, maybe attention should be drawn to others.” he said, as quoted by het laatste nieuws.
The former Bison FC player, meanwhile, could not convert his attempts into goals in Gent’s victory against KAS Eupen but provided an assist.
