Everton have been poor in recent weeks, but Iwobi’s effort ensured that they returned to winning ways and keep their survival hopes alive
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi supplied the assist for Seamus Coleman’s goal that gave them a 1-0 victory against Leeds United at Goodison Park.
Everton lost to Liverpool last time out, but they were looking to return to winning ways when they welcomed Leeds United to Goodison Park. Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi was handed a starting shirt by manager Sean Dyche.
The Toffees were the better side from the blast of the whistle. They controlled the tempo of the game and looked the more dangerous in attack.
Nigerian midfielder Iwobi has a great game in the center of the park. He had 62 touches, three key passes three successful dribbles, and five tackles.
Leeds United started to grow into the game after the break, but Iwobi was on hand to help Everton clip their wings.
The former Arsenal man received the ball from midfield and sent the ball over the top to Coleman, who struck the ball into the net from an almost impossible position.
