Nigerian-German star Adeyemi breaks the Bundesliga speed record with 36.7 km/h

Karim Adeymi, who recently moved to Signal Iduna Park has been firing on all cylinders for The Black Yellows.

Borussia Dortmund star, Karim Adeyemi, has smashed the Bundesliga’s record for fastest player.

In a 2-1 loss against Union Berlin in the 2021–2022 season, former Mainz player Jeremiah St. Juste established the previous mark for speed, which Adeyemi surpassed.

As his team crushed Freiburg in a 5-1 win at Signal Iduna Park, the Nigerian-German established a new Bundesliga record by reaching a high speed of 22.77 mph (36.7 km/h).

The winger missed his team’s away game at Stade Europa-Park owing to a toe injury, but in his 61 minutes of action, he succeeded in netting his first goal and set a new Bundesliga record.

The 21-year-old had a historic day as he also scored his first-ever Bundesliga goal at home in the triumph, which extended Dortmund’s winning run after the winter break.

Alphonso Davies, a Canadian who plays for Bayern Munich, and Achraf Hakimi, a player for Dortmund in the same year, formerly held the record of the Bundesliga’s fastest player ever logged. However, the former RB Salzburg player was able to break that record.

However, the Bundesliga recognized the Black-Yellow winger’s remarkable accomplishment, including him among the other nine players who achieved a comparable height since the record began via their website.

Despite declaring his loyalty to playing for Germany, Karim Adeyemi, whose mother is from Romania and father is from Nigeria, is aware of his heritage.

He accomplished this by visiting Nigeria on many occasions and by running a foundation that supports football, education, and the environment in the West African nation.
