The Italians are keen on extending the contract of the exciting youngster but interest from France could hinder their plans
Serie A champions AC Milan have kicked off plans to secure the future of Primavera star Victor Eletu but they may have to fend off interest from French side Monaco, a report claims.
Victor Eletu became public topic number one in Milan late last year after he committed his immediate future to the San Siro giants. The Lagos-born teenager, in December, inked a contract renewal deal that will keep him at Milan until June 2025.
Bursting with potential rare for someone his age, the young defender has impressed in the UEFA Youth League, the Primavera, and the Coppa Primavera for Ignazio Abate’s Primavera squad.
However, Eletu’s superb displays in Italy have attracted admirers from abroad and according to Sempre Milan, Ligue 1 giants Monaco are interested in convincing the 17-year-old to quit San Siro for France.
Les Monégasques have a rich reputation for nurturing budding talents into global stars having played key roles in the development of Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Anthony Martial, Aurelien Tchouameni, and many more.
To forestall such a move, Milan are poised to hand Eletu a professional contract once he turns 18 on the first of April.
Monaco have reportedly sent scouts to watch Eletu but Milan have planned talks with the youngster’s representatives ahead of key negotiations.
Usor signs for LASK Linz
Meanwhile, Austrian first-division side LASK Linz have signed Nigerian attacker Moses Usor on loan from Slavia Prague for the rest of the season.
Usor only joined Slavia Prague in April 2022 but he has impressed with his performances for the former Czech Republic champions and will look to continue his development in Austria.
This season, the 20-year-old winger has featured in 15 league games for Slavia Prague, registering four goals and an assist.
