Lookman had a wonderful performance even though La Dea dropped points at the death
Atalanta coach Gian Pero Gasperini has expressed amusement with Ademola Lookman’s second goal against Juventus in their 3-3 draw on Sunday.
After Napoli demystified Juventus last week, Atalanta were fancying their chances of getting one over the Old Lady when both teams clashed at the Allianz stadium.
Atalanta had a dream start to the game, as Lookman smashed the ball into the post after a precise pass from Jeremie Boga to make it 1-0 for Atalanta.
However, Juventus fought back in the first half and scored two goals courtesy of Angel Di Maria and Arkadiusz Milik.
Atalanta started the second half brightly, and it took them just seconds to equalize. Joakim Maehle was through on goal after a beautiful pass from Lookman, and the Danish wingback finished with aplomb to make it a 2-2.
struck a scintillating cross, and Lookman responded first and headed the ball into the net to equalize.
La Dea thought they had the tie in their bag after Lookman’s beautiful goal in the 53rd minute. The Super Eagles forward reacted quickest to a cross into the Atalanta box and planted a wicked header into the Juventus goal.

Still, Lookman’s efforts was not enough, as La Dea fell short at the death. Danilo scored in the 65th minute to ensure it ended 3-3.
Atalanta coach Gian Pero was impressed by his lads after the game. He was particularly amused with Lookman’s second goal. “He scored a header!” Gasperini said.
“Lookman had an amazing performance tonight,” the Atalanta boss added as per DAZN.
Lookman’s heroics against the Old Lady takes his Serie A haul to eleven this season. He is now only behind Osimhen on the league’s goalscorers’ charts.
