English national team forward of Nigerian descent secured England’s win against Senegal.

In the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup, Bukayo Saka, who has opted to represent the Three Lions, scored, helping Gareth Southgate’s team overcome the current African champions.

Recall how the British squad put on a strong performance against Allio Cisse’s side on Sunday night, showcasing their offensive firepower in a clear victory.

When his team overcame Senegal 3 goals to nil at Al Bayt Stadium, Southgate decided to bring back Arsenal’s number seven, Saka, stuck with Foden and left out Marcus Rashford despite his two goals against Wales.

The first two goals of the game were scored earlier, before halftime, when Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was set up for the first goal by Borussia Dortmund striker Jude Bellingham’s exquisite cross in the 38th minute.

After the interval, the attacker and Phil Foden had a great build-up that helped Captain Harry Kane to score his first World Cup goal.

The Ogun native sealed the victory in the 57th minute by beating Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy with a superb flip after collecting a brilliant feed from Manchester City forward.

On Saturday, in the World Cup quarterfinals, England will face France, who also overcame Poland with three goals to 1.
