Nigerian supporters sparked mixed reactions as a Moroccan steward was unable to witness his nation’s match versus Spain.

As his nation tied the Spanish squad on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the Moroccan steward was on duty.

Soccernet.ng recalls that the African team upset Luis Enrique’s side at Al Rayyan at the Education City Stadium after holding the Spaniards to a draw in extra time.

Achraf Hakimi emerged as the match’s hero with a chipped winning penalty as Morocco defeated Spain 3-0 in a shootout to go to the quarterfinals.

The steward, whose job it was to make sure the stadium was well secured, was unable to see his nation’s win as the whole stadium celebrated an unbelievable victory against Spain.

In the video, the man quickly turned to check who had scored before beaming with joy at his nation’s triumph.

One fan wrote:

I’m definitely getting fired 😂

Another fan contrasts his countrymen with the supporter:

Nigeria just dey cause us pain..no patriotism

Another fan claims he would have done otherwise:

These people dey try o, it can never be me 😂

Another fan said

This is professionalism at its peak! He struggled to control his emotions! 👏
