The Nigerian hitman was unsung for Genk last week, and he took that form to Het Kuipje
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored the winner for Genk in their 1-0 victory at Het Kuipje against Westerlo.
Onuachu scored four in Genk’s last game against Charleroi, and he was looking to take that form to his side’s Belgian Cup Round of 32 fixture against Westerlo.
The Super Eagles goal-poacher did not have to wait long to make his influence felt in the game.
As early as the 14th minute, Onuachu put his side ahead. The big Nigerian striker pounced on a rebound in the box and fired home from close range to make it 1-0.
Onuachu’s strike turned out to be the winner, as both teams only huffed and puffed, but they were unable to score.
The game ended 1-0 at Het Kuipje, and the results lands Genk a spot in the Round of 16.
Up next for Genk is a big game against Anderlecht on Sunday, and Onuachu would look to continue with his impressive form at Lotto Park.
