Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane will be a part of Senegal’s contingent to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 30-year-old attacker was a huge doubt for the competition after he suffered a knock during Bayern’s Bundesliga clash with Werder Bremen in midweek.
The German champions have confirmed that the former Liverpool star will undergo tests to determine the severity of his injury.
The Senegal Football Federation is, however, optimistic that Sadio Mane will overcome the setback to feature for the Teranga Lions at the World Cup.
And the reigning African champions have included the exciting forward in their 26-man squad for the Mundial.

Widely regarded as one of the best players In the world, Sadio Mane is a two-time winner of the Africa Player of the Year award.
Mane helped Senegal win a first-ever Africa Cup of Nations honour in January.
The Senegal international left Liverpool for Bayern Munich in the summer after winning the Premier League and Champions League titles at Anfield.
The winger has made an immediate impact in Munich, scoring nine goals and creating four assists across 20 Bundesliga and Champions League matches.
