The Nigeria-eligible youngster joins Spurs in a few months, and he mentally prepared for the new challenge
Super Eagles-eligible defender is enthusiastic about his move to English Premier League side Tottenham at the end of the season.
Tottenham beat Inter Milan and Juventus to the signing of Udogie from Udinese during the summer transfer window.
However, included in the contract was that clause that the 19-year-old would spend this season on loan at Udinese.
This season, Udogie has been absolutely phenomenal for Udinese. The Verona-born fullback has been a top performer for the Bianconeri with two goals in seven Serie A appearances.
His stay in Udinese ends next June, and it would be a whole new challenge for Udogie as he has never played for a club outside Italy.
Nonetheless, the Udinese star admits that he is looking forward to the move, but he is focusing on Udinese at the moment.
“Serie A helps you grow,” Udogie told La Repubblica as per Sport Witness.
“The months I remain here on loan at Udine will be important to improve myself further. In my head, I’m here now, meaning I haven’t heard from Conte yet.
“The Premier League doesn’t scare me. The football is fantastic and I have always spoken English at home with my parents, who were born in Nigeria.”
Udogie plays for Italy, but he can still switch allegiances to Nigeria because he has not played for the senior team. The former Hellas Verona man has Nigerian parents.
