The Bavarians could lose their second-highest goalscorer of all time this summer, and the Super Eagles star could be a worthy successor
German giants Bayern Munich are weighing up a move for Super Eagles hitman Victor Osimhen as a replacement for wantaway Robert Lewandowski.
Polish hitman Lewandowski has already stated his desire to leave German this summer, with Barcelona a likely destination. Due to this, German champions would be in the market this summer to search for a worthy replacement for the club’s second-highest goalscorer.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen had a brilliant campaign with Napoli last season, scoring 18 times in 31 appearances and helping his side to a third-place finish in the Serie A.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of numerous transfer talks since January, with reports linking him with a move to the Premier League.
However, the English teams are not the only ones who have been monitoring the former Lille man, as Corriere Dello Sport reports that Bayern Munich have gotten in touch with Napoli over the signing of Osimhen.
The Bavarians are not known to be big spenders in the market. Their most expensive signing is Lucas Hernandez, who they bought for €72million.
However, they would need at least €100million if they want Napoli to budge.
