The Neapolitans will settle for nothing less than €100 million for the exciting, all-action Nigerian striker
Arsenal have made their first move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen after offering Napoli €90 million for the 23-year-old, according to Calciomercato.
But the reports claim that Napoli have rejected the Premier League side’s mega bid for the in-demand forward.
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is especially clear that he is unwilling to listen to offers below €110 million for his prized asset.
The billionaire businessman has identified Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca as the ideal replacement should Osimhen leave for pastures green abroad. But the Italian striker would not be cheap after an incredible year when he netted 16 Serie A goals.
However, head coach Luciano Spalletti is known to be keen on retaining the services of Osimhen in Naples for another year, as he aims to target the Scudetto title next campaign.
The former Lille man grabbed 12 goals to push Napoli to a third-place finish in the Italian top-flight.
Arsenal may, however, not return for the Nigerian striker, as the Gunners are set to miss out on Champions League football next season.
Osimhen, though, continues to attract interest from several wealthy clubs, including Manchester United and Newcastle United.
