Ola Aina shows his quality but Juventus win the Turin derby

The former Chelsea star was in action as Torino welcomed the Old Lady in this season’s first instalment of the Turin derby

Ola Aina played for 65 minutes, but Torino suffered a painful 1-0 loss to Juventus in their Serie A clash at the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium, Filadelfia.

Aina was brilliant both defensively and offensively during the time he was on the pitch. The Nigerian international made four tackles and two interceptions, while he also won eight of his 13 duels.

In the attacking end, he made one key pass while he also created one big chance before he was taken off in the 65th minute.

However, despite his display, Torino were undone by a brilliant strike from Manuel Locatelli. The match was played at a frenetic pace, with both teams having a go at each other.

Although Juventus bossed the possession, Torino had more shots. The home side had 13 shots with two on target, while their city rivals fired ten shots, with three on target.

However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men had to wait until the 86th minute to convert one of their three shots at goal.

The Old Lady took the three points after Locatelli fired in a brilliant curler from just outside the box. The result means Juventus have now won four consecutive games in all competitions after a slow start to the campaign.
