The Yellow Submarines are interested in the Brazilian star, but they may have to sell their Nigerian import to fund the transfer
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze could be on his way out of Villarreal as the Yellow Submarines are considering offloading him to Real Betis so as to create space for target- David Neres.
Chukwueze has not played since he sustained an injury in Villarreal’s Europa League semi-final clash against Arsenal in May.
His return date is a touch-and-go situation as he hasn’t been able to regain full fitness and return to the pitch.
Due to his injury, teammate Yeremy Pino has gotten enough game time to impress Unai Emery, while new arrival Arnaut Danjuma, who was signed from Bournemouth, has also had enough time to shine.
With these players in top form, it could be a tall order for Chukwueze to get back into first team contention.
Consequently, his time on the sidelines may cost him his Villarreal job as Elgoldigital reports that the 22-year-old might have to make do with a move to Real Betis because the Yellow Submarine are looking to sign David Neres from Ajax.
However, Villarreal have only played five La Liga games this season, and with another international break in the offing, the former Nigeria U-17 player will try to conquer his injury and return to action.
