One of the Blues’ most gifted youngsters could be ending his 12-year association with the club in the coming hours
Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow are close to completing the signing of Chelsea’s Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Faustino Anjorin, according to reports.
Faustino has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, and as per Artur Petrosyan, the youngster appears set for a permanent deal to the former Russian champions.
Chelsea will reportedly earn €10 million from the sale of the 19-year-old, with Lokomotiv Moscow expected to offer the young midfielder a five-year contract with an annual salary of €2 million.
It sounds too good to refuse for a teenager, and if Anjorin accepts the deal, it will end his association with the club he joined at the under-7 level.
During his over 12-year stay at Chelsea, Anjorin won the U-18 Premier League and the FA Youth Cup while earning two runners-up medals in the UEFA Youth League.
Despite being one of the Blues’ most promising academy players, Anjorin has made just one Premier League appearance for the reigning European champions.
Anjorin has represented England at every youth level from the U-16 to the U-19 levels, but he is still eligible to feature for the Super Eagles through his Nigerian father.
