The Nigerian midfielder had a night to forget as he could not prevent the Foxes from an embarrassing loss at the London Stadium
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi played for 90 minutes, but it was a disappointing night for Leicester City as they lost 4-1 to West Ham in their second league game of the season.
The 24-year-old paired with Youri Tielemans in the midfield, but they both struggled to cope with West Ham’s attacking flow.
Ndidi made three interceptions and the same number of tackles all game. His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho, came on for Jamie Vardy in the last nine minutes, but the damage had been done by then.
Pablo Fornals put West Ham ahead in the 26th minute, finishing off a ball from Saïd Benrahma. It got worse for Leicester as Ayoze Perez was sent off in the 40th minute for a dangerous tackle on Fornals.
It took just 11 minutes after the break for West Ham to double their lead, courtesy of a strike from Benrahma. Tielemans pulled one back for the Foxes in the 69th minute to give Brendan Rodgers side some home.
But a brace from Michael Antonio in the last ten minutes sealed an emphatic win for David Moyes men.
