The Braves booked their return to one of Europe’s club competitions and are looking for proven performers to help reach their targets
Sivasspor have identified Super Eagles star Oghenekaro Etebo as the right man to help reinforce their midfield ahead of the next football season.
After securing their first signing of the transfer window with the capture of Sefa Yilmaz from Gençlerbirliği, Sivasspor have switched their attentions to Stoke City ace Etebo.
The English side considers the Nigerian dynamo surplus to requirement, and he spent last season on loan at Galatasaray. The 25-year-old was also at Getafe the previous campaign.
But Sivasspor could be Etebo’s next destination, with the former Warri Wolves not keen on joining struggling Kayserispor, who have also been linked with an interest.
Sivasspor enjoyed a decent spell in the Europa League last season, making it to the knockout phases. They are bullish about their chances in the maiden edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
And, as per Fotomac, the Braves are keen on recruiting either Etebo or Sporting Lisbon’s Eduardo Henrique on a year-long loan deal.
Etebo’s contract with England Championship team Stoke City will expire in 2023.
